On Saturday June 10, 2017, Lora Condon, owner of Jersey Boutique Spa in downtown Westfield, presented a $1500 donation to Freedom Alliance, a military focused charity that also gives college scholarships to students whose parents have either been permanently disabled or killed in action. Lora entered the Skin Games, an international esthetic competition and won the Compassion Category for her charity work with military families, soldiers, first responders and those suffering with PTSD.
Tom Kilgannon, the President of Freedom Alliance, his associate Matthew Higgins, Westfield Mayor Andy Skibitsky and councilman Keith Loughlin, were in attendance for the check presentation. Freedom Alliance also brought along one of their college scholarship recipients, Jacob Rangel, whose father died while serving in Iraq. Family and friends
Vietnam Veteran, David Gerber also presented Matthew Higgins and Jacob Rangel with his handmade paracord bracelet and key fob as a thank-you for helping to support the military and being outstanding patriots.
